"Miami and Georgia have offered me. Miami was the first team to offer me, then I got a call from my friend Sean Bailey (Georgia WR) two weeks later saying I should be getting an offer from Georgia in a few days," Jessie Hester said.
Who's amongst his early leaders?
"I don't really have a top 5 or anything. I'm looking at Florida State, Miami, Pittsburgh, Michigan, Michigan State, and North Carolina State. I know I like Florida State and Miami, but all schools have an equal opportunity right now."
Jessie's father played for Florida State in his college days and went on to play for the Falcons and Raiders in the National Football League. What his his dad told him about the recruiting process?
"He's just told me to keep a clear head and think everything through."
Does Hester see himself making an early commitment?
"No. I want to take all five of my visits and look at the coaches and the environment. I need a place I can feel comfortable and a place to let me do what I do. There's no way I can make an early decision."
Jessie insists that distance is not a factor in his recruitment, but I got the impression that it would be a very large chore for a school to pull him out of Florida.
