Warren Hopes To Still Land In Tally

In addition to tying up some loose ends surrounding the academic status of some members of the 2004 class, FSU coaches have the situation surrounding Madison County safety Jonathan Warren to concern themselves. In mid-February, FSU officials withdrew their offer from the four-star safety after he and two teammates were charged in correlation with a sexual incident involving a 14-year old girl.

Things are starting to look better for Warren, who has maintained his innocence as well as an open communication with the FSU coaching staff during his ordeal.

"I talk to them almost every day," Warren told theterritory.org on Thursday. "I made it out to practice a few weeks ago."

Warren said that his offer is still on the table if he is able to deal with his legal problems. The safety said that the charges are expected to be dropped. And if that's the case, he plans to be in Tallahassee in time for him to attend summer conditioning sessions in June.

"They have been telling me that once I get past (the case) I can get to work," he said.
