Florida State linebacker <b>Kendyll Pope</b> fulfilled another childhood dream on Sunday when he was selected in the NFL draft by the defensive-minded Indianapolis Colts in the fourth round. Receiver <b>P.K. Sam,</b> who elected to skip his senior season for the NFL, went to the New England Patriots late in the fifth round. Five FSU players were selected during the two-day draft.

Florida State linebacker Kendyll Pope fulfilled another childhood dream on Sunday when he was selected in the NFL draft by the defensive-minded Indianapolis Colts in the fourth round.

Receiver P.K. Sam, who elected to skip his senior season for the NFL, went to the New England Patriots late in the fifth round.

Five FSU players were selected during the two-day draft.

Three Seminoles -- linebacker Michael Boulware (Seattle), tailback Greg Jones (Jacksonville) and defensive tackle Darnell Dockett (Arizona) -- were selected in the first three rounds Saturday.

Cornerback Stanford Samuels will try to make the Colts as a free agent. Defensive tackle Jeff Womble signed as a free agent with the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

Defensive end Kevin Emanuel and cornerback Rufus Brown also are expected to sign free-agent contracts.

Pope finished 10th on the all-time FSU list with 386 career tackles. Sam, meanwhile, will be second-guessed for his decision to skip his senior season for the pro ranks after falling into the fifth round.
