Noles Pay A Visit To New Orleans

After this season Florida State will be graduating two senior starters in <b>Eric Moore</b> and <b>Chauncey Davis</b> and finding a couple of big-time pass-rushers to replace them will be a huge priority. On Tuesday defensive end coach Jody Allen was in New Orleans to evaluate on of the top pass-rushers in the country.

On Tuesday Florida State and LSU stop by St. Augustine high school in New Orleans to check out 6-foot-4 and 240 pound defensive end Alfred Jones. Did the Seminole assistant come away impressed?

"Coach Allen told my coach that they want me real bad at Florida State," Jones said. "I called Coach Allen and talked with him on the phone. He told me that Florida State was losing a couple of ends next year and that I can come in and play early. I talked with Oklahoma State also. They told me that I can come in and play as a freshman."

Jones told The that his top five schools are Miami, UCLA, Florida State, Oklahoma State and LSU. Miami, Florida State and Oklahoma State have offered.

If time permits this summer, Jones would like to attend football camps at Florida State, UCLA and Miami.

St. Augustine high school has started spring practice workouts. How has he been doing so far?

"I got a couple of sacks," he said. "I don't really worry about the stats."
