Noles Visit New Mexico Standout

One of the top prospects in the Southwest is drawing heavy interest from several big-time programs, including the Seminoles. This past week he had several teams drop by his school to evaluate his talent, including Texas Tech, Texas, Florida State, Arizona and Michigan.

"The coaches from Texas and Florida State told my coach that they were very impressed with my film," defensive end Aaron Lewis of Albuquerque (NM) Las Cueva said. "They sat down and watched two game tapes and a highlight tape. They were impressed by my agility and quickness. I'm 6-foot-4 and 260 pounds and I want to play defensive end in college."

Lewis has contacted coaches from Florida State, Air Force, Georgia Tech and Michigan.

"I'm going to camp at Florida State," he said. "Coach Allen has a lot of interest in me and he wants me to come to their camp so the other coaches can evaluate me. I'm feeling like Georgia Tech and Florida State will offer."

Lewis would like to take his official visits to Texas, Georgia Tech, New Mexico, Ohio State and Florida State.

"I would like to play in either the ACC or Big 10 conference," he said.

Lewis will most likely make a decision sometime after his season.

As a junior, he recorded 89 tackles and 25 ½ sacks.

Lewis carries a solid 3.0 grade point average in the classroom.
