Noles Offer Big-Time DT

The Noles and the Gators will be in a hot recruiting battle for one of the countries finest defensive tackle prospects. Funny thing is that this outstanding prospect lives over a 1,000 miles away from both Tallahassee and Gainesville.

"I've got offers from Michigan State, Florida, Nebraska, North Carolina, Virginia, Penn State, Boston College, Rutgers Maryland and Florida State," Kade Weston of Little Silver (NJ) Red Bank said. "Oklahoma, Ohio State and West Virginia said they were going to offer also."

About every college program in the country will be recruiting the 6-foot-5 and 300 pound standout. However, the two Sunshine State programs appear to be the teams to beat.

"Florida and Florida State are the only two teams that I have plans to visit," Weston said. "Last week the recruiting coordinator and defensive coach from Florida State came by my school. I like Florida State a lot because of their coaches."

It looks like Trinidad native is destined for the Insiders.com Hot 100 list. What does he bring to the table?

"I get off the ball quickly and I pursue from sideline to sideline," he said. "I'm improved coming off the ball a lot."

As a senior Weston recorded 114 tackles, 14 sacks and five forced fumbles.

He is a solid student with a 2.7 grade point average.
