Did Noles Offer North Carolina ATH?

New Bern (NC) running back/safety Montario Hardesty is one of the top prospects in the Tarheel State. The 6-foot, 195-pound athlete had over 2,000 yards and 19 touchdowns as a junior. Hardesty is nearing a huge offer.

"Florida State verbally offered me and said that I might be getting a written offer from them soon," said Hardesty. "I have offers from North Carolina, North Carolina State, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Nebraska, Notre Dame, and East Carolina. A lot of teams have supposedly verbally offered me, but those are the ones in writing."

Hardesty is being recruited as a running back, safety, and cornerback. He is not ready to name a favorite, but he knows what he's looking for in a college.
"I want to win. I can't stand losing, so I'm looking for a program that wins consistently and I want to play early. I'm also going to see what position they are recruiting me for, those are the main things I'm going to look at," he said. "I'm going to wait to narrow things down until after I get a few more written offers"

Hardesty takes his academics very seriously as he boasts a 3.1 core GPA. He plans to retake the SAT in the near future in hopes of improving his first score on the test.

"I got a 890 on my first try taking the test, but I didn't even study for it – I'm going to try and get a 1,000 on my next try."
