Last January in San Antonio (TX) at the Army All-American All- Star Game with some of the countries top prep football players; he was able to showcase his talents. Now he's getting ready to join his Seminoles teammates very soon.

He' s working from a distance right now but keeping in touch. Corner Tony Carter is ready to get with his teammates and get to work - something he'll be doing very soon.

Carter said that he'll be in Tallahassee June 20th. The Jacksonville Mandarin product will get oriented and take a couple of classes during the summer's second session. After a dead week, informal summer conditioning resumes June 28th.

"I've been doing my program and talking with Coach Lilly about once a week," Cater said. "But now I'm just ready to hit the ground running and get to work and meet some ofthe other guys."

Carter said that he was unsure of who he is going to room with but has one request.

"But it bold- tell them to save me number four. I don't think anyone has it right now."

One day, he hopes, playing in the FSU defensive backfield will be a family affair. His cousin, Ed White corner Bryan Evans, has a high spot on Lilly's recruiting board.

"It'd be tight," he said. "We talk about it alot. It'd be tight. But I also realize he's got to make his own decision. When we talk now, it's more about life in general. I'm going to let him know how things are going for me and let my experience through recruiting and being a freshman help him. But he's going to make his own decision. I respect that."
