Cartersville (GA.) OL Will Camp With FSU

One of the top offensive linemen in the state of Georgia has a busy schedule on his plate this summer with a full-time job and football camps. One of his destinations in July will be Tallahassee. Where do the Noles stand with the 6-foot-3 and 280 pound standout with 4.9 40-yard dash speed?

"My top three schools are Georgia, Ole Miss and Florida State," Ian Smith, an offensive guard from Cartersville (GA.), said. "Georgia is my favorite. What I like best about them is their coaching staff. Coach Bobo told me that they will probably offer me in the future. I've never seen Florida State but I've heard a lot of good things about them. I've talked with them on the phone. We talked a lot about their football camp."

Smith, an All-South Hot 100 member, has offers from Alabama, Louisville, Florida State and Florida

This summer he will attend the three football camps. He will attend Georgia (7/10), Florida State (7/11) and Auburn (7/17).

As a junior Smith, used a combination of quick feet and his strength to grade out at 85%. He also added to 25 pancake blocks to his resume.

"My strength on the field is run blocking," he said.

What factors is he looking for in a school and does the Georgia standout have a timetable for a decision?

"The factors will be the coaching staff, the players around at the school and the school's environment," he said. "I'm going to take my time on a decision and explore all of my options."

Smith is excellent student in the classroom and he projects as a full academic qualifier.
