Did Noles Offer South Carolina DB?
"I got home on Tuesday morning and Florida State called my coach to offer," defensive back Jamie Robinson said. "I called Coach Steele and he told me I had a scholarship."
The 6-foot-1 and 175 pound defensive back grew up a fan of Florida State. Where do the Noles stand?>br>
"I have Florida State a little bit ahead of Clemson now," he said. "I also am considering Virginia Tech. Clemson has great facilities and coaches. Florida State has nice facilities as well."
Robinson told The Territory that he'll wait until after his season is over to make a decision.
The South Carolina native was first-team all-region as a junior. He credits his height and ability to read defenses as his strengths.
What did he get out of the Florida State camp?
"It was a lot of fun," he said. "I learned a lot from Coach Andrews. He wanted the best defensive back to go up against Louis Murphy. He was only able to get two catches on me. I broke up three to four passes."
Robinson is an excellent student with a 3.0 grade point average and a SAT score of 890.
In September he has plans to visit Florida State unofficially when the Noles take on the Clemson Tigers in Doak Campbell stadium.
