"USC is sort of my leader," the 6-foot-2 and 260 pound Spicer said. "USC, Florida State and Nebraska are my top three schools. USC is a winning program and close to home. I like living in Southern California. From what I hear, Florida State has a favorable depth chart and they normally have good seasons every year. It's going to come down to my official visits."

What exactly is he looking for on his visits?

"I'm looking atmosphere," he said. "I'm also looking to see where I fit in. The surroundings will be important."

Spicer, who has lived in Orlando before moving to California, was supposed to visit the Noles unofficially over the summer. That trip got cancelled due to a tight financial budget. Because of that will distance be a factor?

"Not at all," he said. "If I went away from school, it won't matter to my family. It won't be a factor."

The five-star standout hopes to visit Florida State and Nebraska officially during a game day weekend.

"I know for sure now that I will visit Florida State and Nebraska officially," he said.

Spicer currently is bench- pressing 330 pounds and he can squat 650 pounds as well.
