Will Five-Star RB Visit FSU this Week?

The Noles are hot after The Insiders.com No. 3 ranked running back in the country. Last week, the five-star standout was supposed to drive up to Tallahassee for an unofficial visit with the Seminoles but he didn't make it. Will he be arriving on campus anytime soon?

"I'm coming up on Thursday," running back Antone Smith of Pahokee (Fla.) said. "I'm staying with my god-brother Eric Moore until Sunday. I got off the phone with him. I might take part in informal workouts with the team because I want to check out the competitiveness."

Smith made stops this summer at Miami, Rutgers, North Carolina State and Wake Forest.

"I liked all my visits," he said. "They were all equally good."

In recent updates with The Insiders.com, Smith has been favoring the Miami Hurricanes. Has that changed?

"Miami is still my leader," the 5-foot-8 and 180 pound running back with sub 4.3 40-yard dash speed said. "Florida and Florida State are right up there also. They are all similar programs."

What is the Pahokee standout looking for in a school?

"I'm looking for a winning program that I can play a part in," he said.

Smith is on track to qualify academically with a grade point average of 2.6 and a 17 on the ACT test.

Despite missing a good portion of last season with a high ankle sprain injury, he was still able to rush for over a 1,000 yards.
