"My cousin, Brandon Siler, is a LB who goes there and if I had to decide tomorrow it would be for that reason," says Ellis from Daytona Beach Mainland.
"It's also close to home and has a great business program. I'd say I'm factoring in the degree aspect of college over football. They throw a lot to the TE at Florida and I love that--and they've got a pretty good defense. The coaches there want to know when I'm going to take the SAT and when I can go and visit for a game.
"Florida St has both a good offensive and defensive scheme and it's also close to home. Their defense is always good but they don't throw too much to their TEs. Not too many people score on them. The coaches just want to know when I'm going to visit and how I've been doing lately.
"LSU are national champs--it's a passing program also. They like to throw the ball a lot.
"I don't know too much about Oklahoma and I guess I have to read up on them a little. I do hear they have a great business program though.
"I don't know too much about the offense or defense at Central Florida but my homeboy Dennis King (DE) has been convincing me to go there. It would be nice to go there because my family could come and see my home games. I talked with one of the coaches last night (9/8) and he asked me how I did in my past game and if I've taken the SAT yet. He also wants me to get over there and see them play because I'm eligible."
Ellis will officially visit Florida, LSU, Florida St, Central Florida and Tennessee or Oklahoma.
