Will UF Commitment Visit FSU this Weekend??

Over the summer four-star-defensive end/tackle Vladimir Richard of Sunrise (Fla.) Piper gave a verbal commitment to the Florida Gators. However, the Broward county standout is looking around. Is he considering the Noles?

"I've set up an unofficial visit this weekend to the Clemson/Florida State game but it's still up in the air," Richard said. "I go on all of my visits with Gerald Williams and he might not be able to make it because some of his family might be coming in this weekend. Gerald and I have been friends since the 8th grade."

Richard told The Insiders.com that he would like to check out several schools.

"I'm going to set up visits to Georgia, North Carolina State, Ohio State and Pittsburgh," he said. "I'm also probably going to a Miami game."

He will also see the team that he verbally committed to play several games.

"I'm going up to Florida to see them play Arkansas and LSU," he said. "I'm also going to the Florida/Florida State game."

Speaking of Florida State, Coach John Lilly has been turning up the heat on the Sunrise Piper senior.

"Coach Lilly was at my game last week and he talked with my coach," he said. "He going to call me sometime this week. He wanted to check with the coach before he called to see if I had interest."

How firm is he with his verbal commitment with the Gators?

"I like Florida a lot but it's the only school I've seen so far," he said.

In two games this season, Richards has recorded 16 tackles, two sacks and several quarterback hurries. This Thursday evening, his team will square off against Everglades.
