Four-Star South Georgia LB Visits Noles

This weekend a four-star linebacker from South Georgia made an unofficial visit to Tallahassee for the Florida State/North Carolina game. Was the 6-foot-0 and 210 pound standout impressed?

"It was great," Dan Foster of Blakely (GA) Early County said.  "I loved it and I got to go in the locker room and shake Bobby Bowden's hand.  I also got to meet a bunch of players like Eric Moore, Travis Johnson, Marcello Church, Ernie Sims, Antonio Cromartie, Chris Rix, Wyatt Sexton and Leon Washington.  I would rate the visit only an eight because they were playing North Carolina and it was too hot.  I'm coming back for the Florida game and I'm sure that one will have more excitement."

Foster told that he will take all of his official visits before making a decision.

"Georgia and Florida State are still up there," he said.  "Tennessee is kind of the dark horse.  I might possible visit Clemson also."

Next week, Foster will make an unofficial visit to Athens where the Georgia Bulldogs will host the Tennessee Volunteers.

This past Friday night Foster helped his team win a thrilling 42-41 overtime victory by recording an approximately 12 tackles.

"Coach Steele and Allen of Florida State were at the game and I almost ran over them by diving at the running back," he said.  "They barley got out of the way while I slid about 10-yards out of bounds.  On my visit both coaches told me that they were impressed with my speed and aggressiveness."

What did he think of the Seminoles performance?

"Coach Allen said they didn't play real well and that the defense missed a lot tackles," he said.  "I thought they played ok and that the defense did a nice job of stopping North Carolina in the red zone."

In five games played this season, Foster has recorded approximately 80 tackles.
