Four-Star LB Impressed With FSU Visit

Florida State is in a battle with Georgia for one of the top linebackers from Peach State. Did the Noles inch ahead for the four-star Blakely (GA) Early County standout?

"It's been the best unofficial visit that I've taken this year," Dan Foster said. "Meeting Derrick Brooks made my night. He told me to keep working hard on getting my test score and that Florida State is a great place to play college football."

Foster told Scout.com that the race between the Noles, the Bulldogs and the Vols is still too close to call. The South Georgia linebacker will visit Tennessee in the near future for an unofficial. He also has plans to watch the Georgia/Georgia Tech and Florida/Florida State games live.

Foster, who has visited Florida State several times this year, is becoming a familiar face to the current Seminoles.

"The players are starting to recognize me know," he said. "Travis Johnson came up to me and wanted to buy my No. 99 jersey. He's a real cool and funny guy. I also got to meet some of the recruits at the game. I got to talk to linebacker Antonio Clay for the first time. He's a great guy and real funny also."

Last Friday, the Early County senior led his team with 17 tackles in a loss.
