NC Standout is Keeping an Eye on Noles

Two of the biggest recruiting needs this year for the Seminoles are defensive end and tight end. The Nole coaching staff is hot after a 6-foot-4 and 238 pound athlete that many experts believe could star at either one of those positions in college. Where do the Noles stand with the four-star standout from Wilson (NC) Beddingfield?

"Last weekend I watched the Virginia/Florida State game on TV," Everette Brown said. "It was a big-performance by Florida State. Virginia was talking a lot of noise before the game. I enjoyed watching the game and watching to see how Florida State utilitizes their tight ends and defensive ends."

In the recent past, the Seminoles have struggled to get the tight end involved in the offense. Last Saturday, Florida State used their tight end effectively to help defeat the Virginia Cavaliers. Did Brown notice?

"The tight ends got the ball thrown to them six times and I believe they caught five of those passes," he said. "They also let their defensive ends fly and I like that."

According to Brown, Seminole defensive end coach Jody Allen will be in attendance for his game on Friday evening. However, two coaches that have been recruiting him stand out from the rest.

"I really like Coach Wiles (Virginia Tech) and Coach Lilly (Florida State)," he said. "I really could see myself playing for both of those coaches."

What are his thoughts on Virginia Tech?

"I'm really high on them," he said. "They have a need for defensive ends."

In addition to Florida State and Virginia Tech, Brown is also very interested in North Carolina and North Carolina State.

"I have a lot of interest in both those programs," he said. "I talk to both those staffs and they are good people."

This weekend, Scout.com's No. 12 rated defensive end in the country will be in Raleigh to watch the North Carolina State play Miami.

He also has plans to watch Florida State play Florida live in Doak Campbell on November 20th.

"If I like that unofficial visit, I'll come back for an official one," he said.

Last week, Brown recorded nine tackles, three for a loss and sack. For the season, he has approximately nine sacks. On offense, he has caught 24 passes for 478 yards and eight touchdowns.
