NJ Tight End Sets Visit to FSU

Maybe the biggest recruiting need this year for the Seminoles is tight end. Recently, Florida State offered one of the top tight ends and players in the Northeast. Do the Noles have any shot with the Oradell (NJ) Bergen Catholic standout?

Until recently four-star tight end James Dray wasn't showing the Seminoles any interest but an offer changed all of that.

"I've always had interest in them but Florida State just offered two weeks ago, he said. "I'm going to officially visit them on (1/9). Florida State seems to always be in the top five."

Other schools that Dray will officially visit are Stanford (1/10), Boston College (1/17), Tennessee (1/14) and Iowa (1/21).

The 6-foot-5 and 230 pound tight end, who estimates close to 20 scholarship offers is keeping a close eye on his favorite.

"I watch them all on TV," he said. "There are three things that I'm looking for in a school. The first one is education. Second is how much the tight end is used in their offense and finally do they put tight ends into the NFL."

Dray told Scout.com that distance and weather will play no factors in his decision.

He is an excellent student who is on track to qualify academically.
