Texas Standout will Visit FSU

Florida State is hot after one of the top defensive backs in the state of Texas. The 5-foot-11 and 180 pound three-star standout has contact from the Seminoles every week.

"Florida State calls each week," Korey Mangum of La Marque TX said. "In fact I just got off the phone with them. We talk a little bit about everything."

After his football season is over, he will visit three schools.

"I will visit Texas A&M, TCU and Florida State," he said. "I haven't been on any unofficial visits yet because I haven't had the time. I'm busy just concentrating on the season."

Mangum, a soft commitment to Texas A&M is the cousin of teammate Russell Ball who is a Florida State commitment. He will most likely visit Florida State officially with his cousin.

The Texas standout has helped lead his team to a 6-1 record with two interceptions and having only two pass completed on him all season long.

He is an excellent student who shouldn't have any problems qualifying academically.
