The Florida State Seminoles have high hopes this upcoming basketball season -- with good reason, too. Coach Leonard Hamilton welcomes back plenty of experience despite losing all-everything guard Tim Pickett. Here's a quick look at the Seminoles by the numbers.

FSU By The Numbers

3 – Rookie of the Week awards by guard Von Wafer in 2003-04; Wafer was third on the team in scoring (7.9).

4 – despite losing first-team All-ACC performer and leading scorer Tim Pickett (16.5), four of FSU's top five scorers from last year return.

7.9 - scoring average by Von Wafer as a freshman in 2004, the third-best per game average on the team and sixth among ACC freshmen.

10 – losses suffered by the Seminoles in 2003-04 by seven points or less; FSU's last six defeats of the season were by a total of 28 points.

10.1 – points per game averaged by 6-10 forward Alexander Johnson in 16 ACC games as a freshman a year ago; in 2003-04 Johnson became only the third Seminole to earn All-ACC freshmen team honors.
