Add another Linebacker to the Board

Florida State has plenty of big-time linebackers considering them, including Derek Nicholson, Eugene Hayes, Jon Demps and Antonio Clay. Is the Garnet & Gold about ready to add run-stuffer to the board?

"Florida State is starting to come on," 6-foot-2 and 215 pound linebacker Rico McCoy of Washington (DC) St Johns College said. "They were at my game and my father talked to them. I think I should be getting an offer from them soon. It's a possibility that I will visit them in December."

What does he like about the Noles?

"Bobby Bowden," he said. "Florida State has the tradition and they own the ACC."

Right now the four-star standout favors Tennessee and Ohio State.

"Tennessee is showing me a lot of love," he said. "Actually both schools are and I'm growing to know about both staff's."

McCoy finished his senior season strong by recording 38 tackles in his final two games. What does he feel like he brings to the table?

"First of all I'm a leader," he said. "I play the game with a lot of emotion and I'm aggressive."

McCoy will represent the East squad in the Army All-American game which will be played on January 15th in San Antonio.

The Washington DC standout is excellent student who is on track to qualify academically.
