Did Dunbar Make It?

One of the top defensive linemen in the class of 2004 was Deerfield Beach (Fla.) Emmanuel Dunbar. The 6-foot-5 and 275 pound standout failed to qualify academically. He sat out this semester in order to achieve a test core high enough to enroll by January. Recently, he got some good news.

"I got a 940 on the SAT and I only needed an 820 to make it in," Dunbar said. "I found out on the 19th and called Coach Haggins the same day. He told me to start getting the paper working ready so I can enroll this January."

Dunbar was been working very hard on getting the necessary test score to star his Seminole career.

"It's a load off of my back and it feels great," he said. "I'm in good condition and I'm ready to go. I would like to make the All-ACC Team by my sophomore season and hopefully be an All-American by my senior year."

As a senior, he was selected to the first-team all-state team in class 6A competition by recording 112 tackles and 17 sacks.
