Still Open

The position he will take on the field will likely determine where he takes the field. Miami wants to use his skills at fullback. Ohio State, Florida State, Florida and N.C. State have visions of him as a bruising runner. Who is he? As has been reported duriing his recruitment, Miami Monsignor Pace runner Conredge Collins wants to play tailback at the next level. He says he has no favorite right now, but that would change is his hometown Hurricanes could accommodate that request.

"There would be a little change," Conredge Collins said.

"It would make that decision a little easier. I'm going to talk to the coaches at the game this Saturday to see what we can do."

Following Collins' visit to the Orange Bowl for Saturday's game against Virginia Tech, the back will make four official visits in January:

FSU (1-7), OSU (1-14), NCS (1-21) and UF (1-28). "I might commit after my visits but I'm not sure," Collins said.

"It all comes down to the depth chart and where I feel most comfortable."

Collins said members of the N.C. State and OSU staff paid him a visit on Tuesday.

He also entertained FSU assistant coach Odell Haggins earlier this week.

"Right now everything is even. We'll see where things go from here," Collins said.
