Daytona Beach TE has Three Schools in Mind

Florida State has been hot after what many consider the top tight end prospect in the state of Florida. What is the latest on the 6-foot-3 and 235 pound tight end from Daytona Beach (Fla.) Mainland?

"Two weeks ago I got an in-home visit from Coach Sexton of Florida State," tight end Brian Ellis said. "We did a lot of talking and he said there would be some early playing time at Florida State."

Ellis had an official visits set with Seminoles on (1/7) and with Tennessee on (1/14). He would also like to visit the Florida Gators as well.

"I haven't met with anymore from Florida yet," he said. "The coach that was recruiting me from Florida isn't there anymore. I don't know much about Urban Meyer."

Where does the three-star standout stand with all the teams on his list?

"I probably could get the earliest playing time at Florida State or Tennessee," he said. "But, I'm wide-open to everyone. It's going to come down to what my mother thinks and what I think about my official visits."

The Mainland standout estimated eight touchdowns in his senior season.

Ellis is working hard in the classroom but he hasn't qualified academically yet.
