South Florida DB Favors Three Teams

On of the top football players in the state of Florida resides in Miami and the Noles have been hot on his trail for sometime. What's the latest from 5-foot-10 and 160 pound standout from Carol City high school?

"I've already officially visited Rutgers and Oklahoma State," cornerback Chris Chancellor said. "I have an official visit set up with Florida State on (1/7). I would like to set up visits to North Carolina State and Iowa or Florida. Since Miami is so close, I will visit them unofficially."

The three teams that stand out to the Scout Florida standout are Miami, Oklahoma State and Florida State.

"Miami offered early in the season but I haven't heard form them in a while," he said. "My former teammate Jacky Claude is up at Florida State and he's doing pretty good. He told me Florida State is the place to be and he's influencing me a lot. I think when I come up, he'll be my host."

Chancellor told that he would like to make a decision sometime after his official visits in January.

"Academics will be the biggest factor," he said. "I also want to go someplace where I can come in and compete for a starting job."

Despite missing four games because of an ankle injury, Chancellor was still able to pick off four passes in his senior season. He scored five times two via interceptions and three on special team returns.
