South Florida Safety Chooses Seminoles….

Last season FSU went down to South Florida and landed two of the best defensive backs in the state of Florida. Once again they struck gold:

Floridia State received a commitment from Dorian Munroe of Coral Reef High School. Munroe grew up a Florida State fan but as he got older the Miami Hurricanes were his top choice. When the Hurricanes stopped showing interest and Florida State stepped up its pursuit of Munroe he decided FSU was the place for him. So what does Munroe feel about FSU, "It's great, I loved my trip to Florida State this summer. I went and camped there this summer, the campus is real nice and the facilities are second to none."

When it comes to his recruitment one person that made the choice easy for Munroe was FSU linebacker coach Kevin Steele, "Yeah coach Steele is real, he is someone I can relate to and trust, he is a great guy and I can't wait to play for him." Coach James Colzie is another reason Munroe chose FSU. "Coach Colzie is great as well, he is from Miami and played at FSU, he told me about how important it was to have some Miami talent on the team."

Why did Munroe pull the trigger now, "They only have a couple of openings and felt it was best to take one of them before someone else did," he said. Munroe also mentioned to scout.com that he is friends with JR Bryant who is from the same area of Miami as him.

FSU beat out NC State, Florida and Georgia for his services. He mentioned to scout.com that Georgia was his top choice until they landed two safeties. Munroe may still take a visit to FSU but he says he is solid in his commitment to the Seminoles.
