Noles and Canes Lead for Palm Bay Standout

One of the top defensive players in the state of Florida is trying to decide if he'll play his college ball in either north or south Florida. What's the latest with the 6-foot-2 and 240 pound linebacker/defensive end?

"I have already been on official visits to USC and Oklahoma," Neefy Moffett of Palm Bay (Fla.) said. "I got Florida State on (1/7), Georgia on (1/14) and Miami on (1/21). I'll probably decide sometime around the 28th of January."

The three-star standout told that his final two would most likely come down to the Canes and Seminoles.

"Miami and Florida State were my two favorite teams growing up," he said. "Florida State produces defensive ends and Miami produces linebacker. I talked with Miami Coach Mark and he said they were going to take three to four linebackers. Florida State loses two defensive ends and they will have early playing time."

Moffett finished his senior season by averaging 15 tackles a game and recording eight sacks.

He'll participate in the Florida/California All-Star game which will be played on January 2nd in the Orange Bowl.
