Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas has a turned a few very good receivers in their day, including former Dallas Cowboy All-Pro Michael Irvin and Tennessee Volunteer Tony Brown. This year, there's a 6-foot-1 and 175 pound receiver with some impressive offer. Will the Noles be the next to offer?

Wide receiver Richard Goodman has an impressive list of offers, including Auburn, Minnesota, North Carolina State, Pittsburgh and Purdue. Yesterday, Seminole recruiting coordinator John Lilly was at his school checking out the standout prospect.

"I got a little bite from Florida State," Goodman said. "Coach Lilly told me he's going to let me know next week if they will offer or not. He wants to go back to Tallahassee to get some feedback first."

Goodman, who estimates 15-20 scholarship offers, has already, visited Auburn. Next up for him are visits to Mississippi State on (1/14), North Carolina State on (1/21) and Florida (1/28). Where do the Gators and Noles stand with him?

"I grew up a fan of Florida," he said. "I'm also a fan of college football period. If Florida State were to offer, they would be real high on my list and I would set up a visit with them."

What factors is the South Florida Standout looking for in a school?

"I looking for someplace that I could get some early play time," he said. "Also, being comfortable with the academics and the athletics is important. I'm looking for someplace where I can see myself at for the next four years of my life. It's a big decision and I need to make the right choice."

As a senior, Goodman caught 40 passes for over 500 yards receiving and seven touchdowns. He also returned three kicks for scores.

Goodman is an excellent student who is on track to qualify academically. He would like to major in Sports Broadcasting.
