Will Bama Commitment Visit FSU?

One of the top defensive backs from the Florida/California All-Star game committed to Alabama a few weeks ago. However, the 5-foot-11 and 175 pound four-star standout will visit Florida State just to make sure.

"I'm leaning towards visiting Florida State on (1/28)," Pensacola safety Clarence Ward said. "Two of my former teammates from Texas (Russell Ball and Kory Mangum) will visit that week also."

What kind of a shot do the Noles have?

"I'm probably got to stick with Alabama," he said. "Since I transferred, they have been loyal to me and I also can get early playing time there. They are recruiting me as a cornerback."

In five games played at Pensacola, Ward recorded 53 tackles, one interception and eight pass breakups.

As a junior, he recorded 93 tackles, five interceptions and four fumble recoveries (three defensive touchdowns).
