Next Up: Miami and FSU

One of the hottest recruited defensive backs in the country resides in Belle Glades (Fla.). The 6-foot-1 and 185 pound standout just returned from an official visit to South Florida.

"It went well," strong-safety Randy Phillips said. "I would rate my trip a seven. They are No.3 on my list right now."

Next up for Phillips is an official visit to Miami on (1/21) and Florida State on (1/28).

The three-star standout was supposed to visit Florida but he changed his mind.

"I'm not going to visit them," he said. I don't really like Florida."

According to Glades Central senior, Miami is still the team to beat for his services.

"I'm committed to Miami and another school would have to show me more than them. I would have to come in and start as a true freshman or really feel at home with that program."

Phillips grew up with five-star running back Antone Smith. The two friends would love to play their college ball together.

"We haven't decided on the same school yet," Phillips said. "He's trying to pull me one way and I'm trying to pull him another way. I should have a decision after my last visit to Florida State."
