Massive OL Returns From Tally

Over the weekend one top athlete from South Florida made an official visit to Florida State. The 6-foot-7 and 255 pound offensive tackle just retired home to Miami (Fla.) South Miami.

The Territory caught up with the father of Simon Codrington who also went along with his son on the visit to Tallahassee.

"It was a quite impressive visit," Simon Codrington said. "The highlight was meeting a legend like Bobby Bowden. "All of the visits we went on are impressive. However, this one is different because of the tradition of the school."

Codrington has already visited North Carolina State and Auburn. Next week the family will visit Florida followed by West Virginia on (1/21).

Mr. Codrington asked about the offensive line coaching situation.

"I asked Bobby Bowden about that and he said that they would be interviewing heavily over the next two weeks," he said. "I heard the rumor about George Henshaw coming in but I also heard it might be tough to him away."

Right now Codrington is wide open to all the schools he's considering.

Everyone knows what type of athlete the South Miami Senior is but most don't know that he has some expectation to live up.

"I also went to South Miami high school," Codrington said. "I went on to play tight end for Eastern Kentucky."

Codrington is an excellent student who is on track to qualify academically.
