SC Standout Talks FSU and Clemson

Possibly one of the top players on Florida State's board lives in the Palmetto State. Last weekend, he officially visited Clemson. The week before was the Seminoles chance to impress him. Next weekend Virginia Tech will get last crack at the 6-foot-1 and 175 pound corner from Rock Hill (SC) Northwestern.

"I had a pretty good time at Clemson," Jamie Robinson said. "I like the opportunity to play early there. Right now I'm open and I will take a visit to Virginia Tech this upcoming weekend. I will probably make a decision after that visit."

The weekend before the Seminoles hosted him on a visit. How does Clemson compare to Tallahassee?

"I probably would get a better chance of early time at Clemson," he said. "However, I will get playing time as a freshman at Florida State but probably not as much as Clemson."

Will early playing time be his biggest factor?

"No," he said. "My biggest factor will be where I feel the most comfortable with the coaches and players."

Robinson has been impressed with several coaches but one is his favorite.

"Coach Steele of Florida State is my favorite coach and I feel the most comfortable with him," he said. "He's the coach that I have the best relationship with."

Clemson has its own ace as well. Robinson is friends with a couple of players that's committed to the Tigers.

"I hung around Rendrick Taylor and Josh Miller on my visit," he said. "We also hung around together at the Shrine Bowl. They are trying to get me to Clemson."

Speaking of the Shrine Bowl, Robinson had an outstanding showing.

"I played pretty well," he said. "I had a couple of pass breakups."
