Noles and Gators Battle for OL

One of the top offensive linemen in the country is getting closer to making a decision. A couple of weeks ago, the four-star tackle from Orlando (Fla.) Edgewater visited the Seminoles. This weekend, the Gators took their shot at him and it was a good one.

"My visit to Florida went great," 6-foot-5 and 345 pound Mat Hardrick said. "I rated it a ten."

Hardrick compared his visit to Gainesville and Tallahassee.

"I thought at Florida that they were a little more into football and the players," he said. "Florida and Florida State are my two leaders. It probably will come down to Florida State. However, if Florida State doesn't get an offensive line coach soon I'll probably go to Florida."

Last week, Hardrick told the Territory that the Seminoles were going to tell him who the new offensive line coach was by the end of the week.

"They were suppose to tell me a week ago who the new offensive line coach was and I'm suppose to call Coach Sexton tonight," he said.

The Orlando standout hung out with several players, including David Nelson, Quinton Brown, Eric Sledge and Antone Smith.

"I think Antone Smith is going to Florida," he said.

Next week, he will visit Ole Miss before he makes a decision on college choice.
