FSU Legacy has Three Offers

One of the top tight ends in the country for the class of 2006 resides in Land O Lakes (Fla.). The 6-foot-7 and 235 pound standout runs in the 4.7 40-yard dash range. He already has three scholarship offers.

Caz Piurowski is only a junior in high school and college scouts are starting to line up for his recruitment.  He's already got scholarship offers from Louisville, South Carolina and Duke.  Schools like Florida State and North Carolina are also showing serious interest.
"There's no doubt that he the top athlete to ever come through this program," Land O Lakes Head Coach John Benedetto said.  "He's a three sport star in high school.  Right now Caz is averaging 14 points on the basketball team.  Last year as a sophomore, he was a 450 hitter in baseball and there's talk that he will be a high draft pick in baseball."
Will he go the pro baseball route or will he play football in college?
"As of now of now he's leaning towards playing football in college," Benedetto said.
Florida State might have a built in average with Piurowski because his father Paul was a star linebacker for the Seminole from 1977-1980.
"A lot people think he'll end up at Florida State because of his father," Benedetto said.  "He's going to take all of his official visits and make the right decision for himself.  I can tell you Florida State is showing a lot of interest."
Last summer, Piurowski attended the Florida State football camp.

As a junior, he caught 29 passes for 410 yards and six touchdowns. He also starts at defensive end and handles punts for Land O Lakes.
