Noles Offer South Florida OC

This year Florida State's top recruiting need will be at offensive line and the Seminoles could try to sign up to six players at that position. The Noles have already targeted possible the top center in country.

"Coach Smith told me that Florida State offered last week," offensive center Daniel Wenger of Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas said. "I also have offers from Miami, Duke, Rutgers, Northwestern, Nebraska, Iowa State and Minnesota."

What is the 6-foot-4 and 280 pound All-State standout looking for in a school?

"Right now I'm open to all schools," he said. "I need to research all the schools and see what they have to offer. I need to see what schools signed four or five guys last year and where I would fit in."

Wenger will travel this year with his family for unofficial visits to both Penn State and Pittsburgh. He has no plans to attend any camps.

What makes the South Florida center so special?

"I'm quick off the ball, intelligent and have good leg drive," he said.

Wenger isn't kidding about his intelligence and leg drive. He has a perfect 4.0 grade point average to go along with a 365 pound squat.
