Here Comes the Caveman!

This May, Florida State coaches will travel the country looking top-notch offensive line prospects. One possible destination could be Beaufort (SC) where a 6-foot-4 and 352 pound sleeper resides.

Testing doesn't always tell the whole story. Junior offensive tackle Ryan Cave didn't test well at last Saturday's Scout.com camp in Jacksonville (Fla.). However, when the one on one drills took place, he dominated the competition with his quick feet and the use of his brute strength.

"I did pretty good out there today but my 40-yard time was off," Ryan Cave said. "I got really long arms so I get really on people but I have quick feet also. I got a lot of work to do though. There's always room for improvement."

The big offensive lineman hasn't received any offers yet but that could change over the course of the May evaluation period.

"I'm getting stuff from in the mail from South Carolina," he said. "I love Georgia, Auburn and Florida State. All of those schools are sending me mail. South Carolina is my favorite team growing up."

Cave plans on attending several senior camps over the summer, including South Carolina, Georgia, Florida State and Tennessee.

As a junior, he recorded 30 pancake blocks.

Cave can bench press 360 pounds along with a squat of 515 pounds.
