Top OL Visits Noles

Recently, one of the top offensive linemen on the east coast spent his spring break unofficially visiting several schools in the south, including Florida State. The 6-foot-6 and 300 pound standout from Bealeton (VA) Liberty already has an impressive 21 scholarship offers.

"On my spring break I visited Florida, Florida State, Miami, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Alabama and Tennessee," Alex Stadler said. "This summer, I will visit a lot of northern schools like Michigan, Indiana, Purdue and Notre Dame."

Stadler found the Seminoles depth chart situation very intriguing.

"I told Coach McHale that playing time was one of my biggest factors," he said. "We talked about the current offensive line situation and I found it very interesting. I really liked my trip there. I liked the environment, people, tradition and facilities. Recently, Coach Lilly offered me in writing."

Stadler currently plays guard for his high school team but he projects as a tackle in the college ranks.

He is a 6-foot-6, 300 pound offensive lineman who head coach Tommy Buzzo says "moves his feet well in the box and, for a 16-year-old, plays with a good pad-level."

In addition to Florida State, he's got offers from a bunch of schools including Florida and Miami.
