Junior QB to Watch
This past year as a junior, Chris Sorce was a first year starter at quarterback for Pace High school. In a running offense, he was 106 of 166 for 1,449 yards and 11 touchdowns. He's also got a big arm on the diamond.
"I got a real strong arm," Sorce said. " I'm also real accurate. Some people say that I remind them of Brett Farve. I also can throw a baseball 97 miles per hour. I average around 91 miles per hour."
The Panhandle standout is currently getting letter from Maryland, South Florida, Florida State and Georgia.
"Duke, Georgia and Miami have called my school," he said. "I really like Miami. They have always been my team. I also like Florida State, Georgia and Auburn."
A couple of weeks ago, Sorce visited the Seminoles unofficial for the Garnet & Gold spring game.
"I got there kind of late but the stadium is great," he said. "I talked with Coach Lilly and he told me to keep working hard."
This summer, Sorce has plans to attend football camps at Miami, Georgia, Auburn and Florida State.
