Noles Offer Another TE

With tight end being a huge need for the Noles in the class of 2006, it's no surprise that the Seminoles have offered several prospects at that position. Recently, the Noles offered another Florida tight end.

Most feel Land O Lakes High School has the best Tight end in the state of Florida with Caz Pirowski. After Caz there is not a clear cut number two tight end in the state at this time.

One tight end that would like to change all that is Trent Pupello of Tampa Jefferson High School. At 6-foot-3, 250 pounds Pupello is one of the biggest tight ends in Florida. Not only is he big, Pupello can also run well. His forty is in the 4.7 range which for someone his size is quite impressive.

While Trent has is being recruited heavily as a tight end it's as a defensive end that he has had the most success at. He had over 60 tackles and 12 quarterback sacks a year ago. Recently Pupello got some good news that he is really excited about, "I was offered by FSU. One of their coaches came by this week and went ahead and offered me. They were my favorite team growing up and I can't believe that FSU has offered."

Not only are the Seminoles one of his favorite teams, Trent likes Miami, USF, Florida and UCF as well. The Hurricanes are defiantly a team to watch out for if they offer Pupello.

What is Trent looking for in a college, "I am looking for early playing time? I want to be able to get on the field early and contribute. I will look at the depth charts and see which team will provide me the greatest opportunity to see the field. It does not matter if its just on special teams I want to play."

So how is spring football going for the Jefferson star, "I feel great, I have gotten bigger and stronger this off season and that should help me even more this year. We play a Gold and Blue Game tomorrow and I want to do well. Next is our spring game which we will play next week."

Does Trent see any weaknesses to his game right now, "I could improve on my speed, and if I can get faster that would be great?"

As for his best attribute on the football field, "On offense it's my pass blocking. On defense it's rushing the passer."
