Noles Eyeing South Florida WR

Possibly the top wide receiver in South Florida is getting a lot interest from the Seminoles. Florida State recruiting coordinator John Lilly has already stopped by the 6-foot-0 and 180 pound standout with 4.52 40-yard dash speed school.

"Coach Lilly will come back for a second look when we play Boyd Anderson in a jamboree on Thursday night," Preston Parker of Delray Beach (Fla.) Atlantic said. "He told my coach that he was very interested and that he was going to recruit me hard."

The South Florida standout has a top five list of Miami, Florida State, USC, Louisville and Florida.

"Miami is my favorite because they are close to home and they have a great program," he said. "Florida State has Bobby Bowden and they have great football tradition. USC is the defending national champions. Louisville was the first school to offer. Florida is close to home and there's an opportunity there for early playing time."

If the Hurricanes tender an offer will he pull the trigger?

"No, I plan on taking all my visits and distance won't be a factor," he said. "I would love for my family to see me play but my major of Drama will be the top factor. I'm looking for a school that has the best drama program out there."

This summer, Parker plans on attending football camps at Miami and Georgia.

His current offers are Louisville, Eastern Michigan, Rutgers, Pittsburgh and Akron.

Scouting Report from Florida Kids.US: Parker is what you look for in a football prospect with good size, speed and is tough as nails. As a downfield blocker, Preston is one of the best at his position. He is not afraid to mix it up and knock a defensive back or linebacker into next week. As a safety prospect he always seems to be around the football. Though Preston may not be one to blow your socks off with his camp numbers he is one thing and that's a football player.
