Ga OL Visits FSU Unofficially
Ryan Broadhead, a 6-foot-6 tackle prospect, is intriguing several big-time programs, including Florida State, Auburn, Alabama, Kentucky and South Carolina.
"My father and I went down there today and we met the recruiting coordinator who showed us around and gave us a tour of the facilities," Ryan Broadhead said.
Broadhead also had the opportunity to meet and talk with new offensive line coach Mark McHale.
"We met with Coach McHale for about an hour," he said. "We talked about some of players that he has recruited in the past. He told me that he recruited Brett Farve to Southern Miss as a safety and that they groomed him into a quarterback. He also asked me what my goals were so I told him it was winning championships. He liked that."
Are the Noles close to offering the Georgia standout?
"Coach wants to see me at camp because my film from last year I was playing at 225 pounds," he said. "I'm now 6-foot-6 and 265 pounds. Coach Allen told him I was impressive looking this spring. They said I might get an offer at the camp."
Several recruits have been impressed with Coach McHale. Did Broadhead get same impression about the former Marshall offensive coordinator?
"He's a neat guy," he said. "He told me his priorities are faith, family and football. He also told me that he's at Florida State to coach and not yell."
Broadhead, who has offers from UAB, Troy State and Eastern Kentucky, will also take unofficial visits this summer to Vanderbilt, Auburn and Alabama.
