Noles Offer New York Standout
Vidal Hazelton, who was selected MVP of Elite College Combine, has over 40 scholarship offers.
"Florida State just offered me," Vidal Hazelton said. "Florida State really spreads the ball around and they do a lot of throwing. They play a lot of competition and they are always in big bowl game."
This summer the New York standout will visit several teams unofficially.
"I'm probably going to visit the Florida school in June or July," he said. "I grew up watching Virginia Tech, Miami, Florida State and Ohio State. Right now the Florida schools intrigue me."
What makes Hazelton stand out from the pack?
"I'm a very physical wide receiver that likes to block," he said. "That's what makes me standout."
Hazelton has several factors in terms of choosing a school to attend.
"Good Academics is number one," he said. "Also, the way the coaches communicate with the players and a solid program will be factors."
As a junior, Hazelton caught 39 passes for 780 yards and 17 touchdowns. He also intercepted four passes and returned two of them for scores.
Scouting Report: Hazelton is incredibly polished as a wide receiver, He possesses outstanding ball skills, but the most impressive aspect of his game may be his blocking skills. He runs crisp and precise routes. He separates well; he is tough to bring down once he catches the ball. Very elusive in the open field for a large receiver.
