Top TE will Visit FSU

Possibly the top tight end prospect in the country is taking a hard look at the Noles. This upcoming week, the 6-foot-2 and 245 pound standout from Alcoa (TN) will visit the campus of Florida State.

Brandon Warren has been offered by practically every team in the country including Florida, Florida State, Miami, Tennessee, LSU and Oklahoma.

"I'm leaving tomorrow morning to visit Miami," Warren said. "On the way back my coach and I will stop in Tallahassee to visit Florida State. We will also check out LSU."

Warren wants to see first hand what each school has to offer.

"I've never been to these schools so I want to see for myself the stadiums, the facilities and I want to see if I can make a connection with any of the coaching staff's. I also might visit Virginia Tech and South Carolina when I get back."

What does he like about these three schools?

"Miami is a tight end school," he said. "It seems like their offense goes through the tight end. Florida State hasn't been a tight end school but Coach Lilly is hoping that I come there to start a new tradition for that. He wants me to play early. Florida State is my favorite team growing up. I like the coaches at LSU. Coach Miles is great."

With most high school seniors, playing time is the biggest factor. However, that's not the case with Warren.

"To be honest with you, I really haven't looked at depth charts," he said. "Early playing time won't be a factor. However, it would be great to play early."

Warren has plans to visit Florida State when the Seminoles square off against Miami on September 5th in Doak Campbell.

The Tennessee standout helped lead Alcoa to a state title in 2004 by catching 45 catches for 1,000 and 16 touchdowns as a junior. Also, he added 20 sacks, 25 tackles for loss and 70 overall tackles.
