Are the Noles Back on Top?

The Noles have been hot after a five-star running back from Lake Butler (Fla.) Union Country since his 10th grade year in high school. The Seminoles loyalty towards him is starting to pay off.

For first part of the summer, the Florida Gators have been the leader for Scout.com's No. 4 rated running back in the country in C.J. Spiller. However, their lead hasn't lasted very long. His childhood favorite has moved back into the lead. Also, the Miami Hurricanes are making a move by moving into his number two slot.

"My top four now is Florida State, Miami, Florida and Auburn," Spiller told RenegadeReport.com. "Florida State was the first school to offer me. They offered me as a 10th grader and the reason they are my leader is because they have been recruiting me the entire
time. Miami didn't sign a running back last year and they are looking to sign two this year. I think one of the running backs they will sign is Edgerrin James' cousin. Auburn lost two running backs last year and because of that it would be a good opportunity there."

Florida and Florida State are the two programs recruiting him the hardest.

"Florida told me I would have a chance to start as a freshman," he said. "They are trying to figure out who their starter will be this year. I like their running back coach Stan Drayton. He's down the earth and he's coached in the NFL. At Florida State, I like Coach Allen. He makes me laugh. Coach Sexton is down to earth. He's got these old shoes."

Spiller will most likely visit Florida State this summer but he has called off plans to camp there.

The North Florida standout is unsure when he'll make a college decision.
