Top TE Visits FSU

Today, one of the country's top tight end prospects paid the Seminole an unofficial visit and the smile on his face told the rest of the story. Where do the Noles stand with the 6-foot-2 and 235 pound standout from Alco (TN)?

"The campus is beautiful," tight end Brandon Warren said. "I'm been wanting to check out Florida State my entire life and I finally got my chance."

What exactly did he like about his first trip to Tallahassee?

"I know all of the players because I've followed the program my entire life," he said. "It's nice to meet some of them in person. I also like Coach Lilly. He's real cool and he's recruiting me as a tight end. We are working on a connection."

Last week, Warren made an unofficial visit to Miami. After today's visit to Florida State, he will head to LSU before heading home.

"It's too early to name a leader but Florida State is definitely in my top five," he said. "I will be coming back for an official visit."

As a junior, he helped lead Alcoa to a state title in 2004 by catching 45 catches for 1,000 yards and 16 touchdowns.
