Top QB Visits FSU

Today, a quarterback from Leesburg (GA) Lee County took an unofficial visit to Florida State with his coach and family. How did the visit go for the 6-foot-1 and 205 pound four-star standout?

D'Vontrey Richardson traveled to the Tallahassee for the second time in two weeks.

"He wanted to show his mother and brother the school," Lee County Head Coach David Johnson said. "He met with the baseball coach Mike Martin and he met with Coach Dickey about playing football. Coach Allen showed him around the school."

At the camp, Richardson showed the Seminole coaches that he's a quarterback at the next level.

"He really showed the coaches that he has the fundamentals to play quarterback at Florida State," Lee quarterbacks Coach Mike Smith said. "I think Florida State has moved to the top of his list."

Coach Johnson indicated to Renegade that Richardson will go through the recruiting process before making a decision.
