Q & A with Isaiah Swann

Earlier this week, RenegadeReport.com caught up with FSU sophomore guard Isaiah Swann as he watched the football players run their timed 40-yard dashes. Read on to find out what the Maryland native has been up to this summer and what he expects for the upcoming season.

Renegade Report: What have you been up to this summer?

Isaiah Swann: "Nothing much, except trying to get better. I have been working out everyday and going to school also."

RR: Do you and your teammates have a set workout routine for the summer months and if so, what are they?

Swann: "Our weightlifting is pretty set. I go in there every other morning. We run Tuesdays and Thursdays in the early morning and we have Fridays off. It's pretty structured how we do it."

RR: Do you guys ever play organized games of basketball?

Swann: "Oh yeah, we definitely play a lot. We play Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. We get up and down the court, it's real fun."

RR: You had an impressive freshman season as a reserve player. What do you think it is you need to keep improving on to become even more of an impact for the Seminoles this coming season?

Swann: "I really want to start and I am working real hard to get that chance. I would say that if I had to improve one thing in my game it would be my decision making. I want to just keep working on that so I can eliminate the little mistakes and make my teammates better. That's the biggest thing; I just want to make those guys better."

RR: What do you think are your best assets as a basketball player?

Swann: "I think that I can do a lot of things but the biggest is thing is that I try and make my teammates better. I work real hard to do that and make them look good. It's not all about me scoring a lot of points.
