Local Standout Visits FSU

On Friday, the Seminoles got an unofficial visit from one of the top defensive backs in the country. Recently, the 5-foot-11 and 186 pound standout attended the Seminole football camp.

Cornerback Ryan Hill of Tallahassee Rickards is considered the top defensive back in the Big-Bend. His dominating performance at the Florida State camp, led to an offer from the hometown team.

On Friday, he spent close to three hours meeting with Seminole coaches.

"I've been on a tour of the school but this was the first time I got to sit down with Coach Andrews for a long period of time," Hill said. "Coach Andrews went over things and showed me how I fit into their defensive scheme. There was a lot of coach-talk but to be honest with you, I really enjoyed it."

Despite having an excellent visit, the Scout.com four-star standout isn't ready to make a decision.

"I want to take all five of my visits first," he said.

Hill, the cousin of former Florida State defensive back Corey Fuller, recorded 53 tackles, four interceptions and 12 passes broken up from his cornerback spot.

"He's been big-time for two years now," Recruiting Analysis Larry Blustein said. "He's so physical. In the state, he's as close as we got to a total shutdown corner."
