Noles Showing Interest in DE

The Noles don't appear to have too many defensive end prospects on their recruiting board. However, it sounds like a 6-4, 247 pound four star-star standout from Savannah (GA) Calvary Baptist Day has caught the attention of the Seminole coaches.

Demarcus Dobbs is stud of a prospect who lacks exposure due to the small school he attends. However, local state schools such as Georgia and Georgia Tech have taken notice by tendering him. Now, it looks like the Noles are close to throwing their name into the hat.

"This is the first time I have had contact with Florida State and it went real well," Dobbs said. "We talked about setting up a visit. I would like to visit there for the Miami game."

Dobbs told Renegade Report that Georgia is the other team he would like to visit.

"I want to visit Georgia officially for a game this year," he said. "Georgia Tech is also a possibility."

The Savanna high school product is looking for certain thing in a college.

‘I'm looking for a school environment where I will feel comfortable and fit in with the people surrounding me."

As a junior, he recorded 46 tackles, two sacks and he returned one interception for a touchdown. He also had 20 catches from his tight end position.

Dobbs has the mobility to play linebacker on the college level, but he projects as a defensive end because of his size. He plays with high intensity on special teams and on every snap on defense. He could actually play inside at tackle if he keeps getting bigger.
