1993 Clemson @ Florida State: Gridiron Greats

The Seminoles handed the Clemson Tigers their worst loss in six decades in front of a record-setting crowd. Florida State scored at least 10 points in every quarter while the defense pitched its second shutout in three games. Charlie Ward completed 25-of-33 passes for 317 yards and four touchdowns. Noles won 57-0.

In segments airing before, during and after this "Gridiron Greats" presentation, Sun Sports' Keith Jones talks with FB William Floyd, DL Derrick Alexander and LB Ken Alexander about the game from the ‘video vault' at Floyd's house.

Derrick Alexander on former teammate LB Derrick Brooks, "When Coach Bowden talked about Derrick he always uses the term ‘reckless abandon' he was always willing to make plays and throw his body all over the field, regardless of whatever personal health that came toward him."

"Both he and Charlie had that it that everybody talks about. Derrick Brooks was more of the caveman, brutalizing, barbaric – I'm gonna knock it over if it doesn't get out of my way and Charlie Ward was probably the smoothest player that you could ever see – he ran with no effort whatsoever, he ran circles around them, he made everybody else look like they were clumsy and he was the only one with the balance of a ballerina." Ken Alexander on Charlie Ward and Derrick Brooks.
